Canceling your Spiritual Algorithm

There’s spiritual guidance, and there’s intuition development. Lately, I feel like both need to be fully defined because, in our quest for overconsumption of knowledge about spirituality, some have erroneously intertwined guidance and development in the Akashic Age. As an intuitive coach who offers spiritual guidance, I primarily help those struggling with energetic roadblocks that relate to fear, insecurities, confidence and support entrepreneurs who want to create alignment with their passion and purpose. Now and then, I meet people on the path with raw spiritual gifts that need development because working with those gifts is a part of their soul purpose. But what I find more and more is that many millennials that seek spiritual guidance are uncomfortable with simply being the receivers of their soul-level truth through a messenger. I have discovered that all interaction with others must be collaborative because of their deep-seated authority issues.

Somehow the average millennial has convoluted spirituality into a fad that is required for social competence in 2021. As someone who had traveled the spiritual path long before it was the thing to do, I can say this spiritual trend has not only gotten out of control, but millennials have created toxicity within it. Because of the desperate need to feel in control and act out resistance to growth, listening often takes a back seat in seeking a more spiritual life. Although, listening is a powerful spiritual resource. The ability to experience Spirit in a tangible way through clairvoyance or clairaudience is not measured as an equal energetic force to Spirit, but acts of faith and surrender.

In the last couple of weeks alone, I’ve heard many express their confusion about spirituality when seeking additional resources. Every time they seek out spiritual resources to validate what they are learning in guidance, they are getting lost in the process.

Here’s why your spiritual algorithm is creating blocks for you:

None of your YouTube settings, your favorite spiritual authors, or influencers are speaking to your specific issues. Everyone does what they can do to stay on their chosen pathway. For those that are seeking spirituality, there is no shortage of information that exists about the topic. But, do those issues address your specific issues? Your destructive flaws?

In most cases, they don’t. Part of the struggle with most of the millennials  that I have seen over the last several years is that they don’t want to change their energy, habits, or perspective they have about life. In coming to spirituality, they only acknowledge that things are not going as they would wish them to, and they seek authority over their circumstances, not themselves. For the student of deep spirituality, this will not be a shock, but for those still seeking spirituality solely to correct their problems, there’s a big chunk of spirituality that has flown over your head. And, in setting your world to revolve around modern spirituality, you are creating a pathway of further distraction, not increased enlightenment.

I observed many are showing up to their chosen spiritual practice without intention or a specific goal and relying on their understanding of what spirituality is, and that’s why they are not moving along in the spiritual journey and why the lingering destructive flaws and resistance patterns remain the same. Essentially, people are trying to apply the same insufficient formula and approach to spiritual practice that they do to everything else in life. However, how can one continue to use failed tactics to chronic problems? This not only defies logic but registers as delusion.

Spiritual practice can only alter your energy, mindset, and actions if you are intentional and give it the time and space it deserves.  Change does not happen inside comfort, neither does transformation. Just as a butterfly must be destroyed in order to reemerge as a beautiful butterfly, we must actively engage ourselves in the work of spiritual practice. But, many are utilizing spiritual practice merely as a stress reliever and choosing methods and meditation styles specifically for that. While relieving stress is a great benefit, it does not directly relate to emotional maturity or soul growth.  Remember, growth is an action verb.

Many are derailing our spiritual practice by trying to stake a claim on their interpretation of spirituality. There’s such an air of arrogance connected to the approach that stems from not only a lack of belief and a lack of truly understanding but also the desperation to feel connected so that you can get it and own a little piece of it. That energy has made me take a step back and has me contemplating how I want to move forward with coaching.

Spirituality is not something you realize by force. I’ve mentioned this before, but it needs reiteration.

The universe has a fine-tuned nature of existence. There are many powerful truths to contemplate when you are open to them, and if they are aligned in purpose for you to come to know, belief in Spirit is not something we acquire through reading or intellectual understanding. The only pathway to Spirit is through the act of surrendering.

What does it mean to surrender?

To surrender, we must listen and take action, to make plans only according to the universal laws. Surrender is available to us through connection, faith, trust, reassurance, and always with guidance. Surrender does not mean giving in alone. Surrender means to accept help and guidance to continue the path to enlightenment. Some hold the narrative or belief about being deceived somehow on their spiritual journey but surrender to Spirit can also be phrased as surrender with Spirit.

All we need to do is to take more action (on our journey), less contemplation, more seeking, and less doubt. We must gain wisdom, not facts.

Root in truth.

The only thing that is preventing you from connecting is the denial of the truth. Self-deception is often present with so many people. When you no longer want to live in that state, a shifting opportunity presents itself.

The act of surrender is imperative for the bridge of ascension to appear. When you surrender, you can be free of constant internal struggles with yourself about your beliefs, perceptions, and judgment.
