June is a month of force

Have you ever thought about how June is a month of force? A time of dynamic pressure and subsequently change?

Well, I have been, and it reminded me of one of my afternoon sessions during The Journey Within Retreat in Santa Fe that I recently held. During the session, I discussed spiritual ambitions and their absence of them on the journey. But also, many of us fail to realize that Spirit is "not one of our little friends." This phrase seemed to shock a few people and catch them off guard. It made me realize that we continue to see Spirit as someone who can be summoned at will equally for our frivolous and most dire episodes in life. However, the Divine Light is not someone or something; it is not here to serve you, but the exact opposite. We were made to serve the Light, and the more we play with our spiritual life, the harder it is to reconnect to Spirit when it is needed most.

I want to stress that spirituality is meant to be an uncomfortable practice. It's not meant to be all feel-good epiphanies and deja vu. In my client work, I often have to "say things another way" because many cannot connect with how the answers to their questions are first stated. Yet, the problem with this is that it's not me, Tonesha, that's doing the talking. I am serving as the vessel for something greater. Frequently I observe confrontation as a difficult task for those I meet on the journey. In intuitive coaching, the mission is to aid those ready to confront themselves through the spiritual messages. As a person in resistance, the natural inclination is to resist both the vessel and the message and bring the conflict to that which confronts them. But it is only an unhealed soul that believes that a person deep in spiritual practice is not facing themselves as a daily practice–especially one that authentically guides others.

Here's the thing about the truth, it is never what you want to hear; it simply is what is. To seek Spirit is to seek a different frequency. For example, you know how when something deeply psychic or mystical happens, people say, "the hair on the back of my neck stood up"? Well, that's Spirit in motion. Not just anything can spark your senses in that way. I have always found the disconnection with the pathway available in coaching, which is a more direct spiritual connection. More than anything, the overarching goal is emotional maturity. The path of emotional maturity is challenging, but with deep listening, respect for Spirit, and effort, everyone has a pathway to clarity.

This month has revealed many opportunities for me to see those seeking spirituality in a softer, lighter way are not the most aligned or intentional when it comes to spiritual practice. And, I am questioning how someone that is only toying with the idea of spirituality or a deeper connection to Spirit serves me as an intuitive coach. Ultimately, I do not believe that it does. But, there comes a time in everyone's journey when you stop considering what the highest version of yourself could be and start rising to the challenge of being the highest version of yourself, one intention or choice at a time.

As June starts to wan and we release the duality of Gemini season that brought the force, may we all rise and be the people we say we want to be. And no longer hinder ourselves with energy and meager opportunities that prevent depth in our connection and personal walk toward ascension. June reminds us that if there is something that we want to accomplish in this lap around the sun, time is of the essence. The certainty we seek will never be available, but we can allow ourselves to make the possibilities visible. We can offer ourselves permission to grow and affirm that we can do hard things, even if the opportunity to grow flows through that which causes discomfort. June mirrors the instability within our growth and creates the precipice for releasing the distractions. As we begin to see ourselves and come to know ourselves, we can lean into a more authentic version of the journey and accept our lessons with ease.
