What is Intuitive Guidance?

The concept of intuitive guidance can be challenging to define, as it often eludes concrete explanations. However, at its core, it is a means of connecting to our inner knowing, allowing us to receive guidance and direction on our path. It is a way of tuning into our intuition and trusting ourselves to make the best decisions for our growth and well-being. It is the inner voice that guides us through life's challenges and helps us tap into our innate wisdom. This guidance is unique to each individual, as it comes from within and is deeply connected to our personal experiences and beliefs.

However, everyone cannot tap into their inner voice directly for many different reasons and thereby need to enlist the help of an intuitive guide to help them navigate their journey back to themselves and to help them learn to expand their level of intuition.

Intuitive guidance is a connection to infinite wisdom that resolves your circumstances in and of this specific life incarnation. In using guidance as an extension of your spiritual practice, you can get the clarity you need to connect to both your inner and outer child, understand more about what's getting in the way of forward movement, and become more connected to your soul's purpose and navigate your relationships with ease.

My approach to intuitive guidance is Akashic Records forward because it provides a very clear direction to healing and clarity. Psychic readings are what the average person believes all forms of spiritual guidance are: a place where we can bring forth a myriad of aimless questions to satisfy our problems while assuming that asking questions fosters a sense of spiritual connection. And, for some of us, this is as far as our beliefs will carry us into the spiritual realm. However, intuitive guidance goes beyond just answering questions or providing temporary solutions. It is about connecting to our inner wisdom and understanding ourselves deeper.

Through introspection and self-reflection, we can tap into our intuition and access the guidance uniquely tailored to us. This can help us make decisions that align with our true desires and lead us toward growth and fulfillment.

Intuitive guidance provides structure to the journey of self-discovery and deeper spiritual connection.

As we travel through our spiritual journey, there are times when we may feel lost or unsure of our path. It can be overwhelming to navigate the unknown and face challenges. This is where intuitive guidance comes in.

Intuitive guidance provides a sense of structure to our spiritual journey. It acts as a gentle guiding hand, helping us make sense of our experiences and emotions. It allows us to tap into our inner wisdom and intuition, providing clarity and direction when needed.

Through intuitive guidance, we can connect with our deepest selves and embark on a journey of our soul-level truth. By understanding our soul purpose, spiritual themes, and energetic roadblocks, we become more aware of our thoughts, feelings, and desires, gaining insight into who we truly are. This self-awareness is an essential part of the spiritual journey, as it allows us to let go of limiting beliefs and patterns that no longer serve us.

Real-life Intuitive Guidance

I have a client working with me for over 2 years. She's a highly sensitive, analytical person who enjoys "doing." She is the type of person who loves homework assignments, yet she is also somehow very fearful of the deep spiritual work that is required to grow. Here's how she exemplifies what I'm talking about regarding intuitive guidance. Firstly, she defines intuitive guidance as the necessary life support for somebody who does not have access to their emotional landscape. She cannot access self-love consistently, struggles with vulnerability, and has a couple of failed therapy stints to note. Secondly, she interacts with intuitive guidance via astrology by attempting to heal her deep mother's wounds and a desire to identify and understand her energetic roadblocks, which promotes self-love and aids in overcoming her abandonment issues.

This is unique to her because she has some belief roadblocks regarding spirituality. She knows it's real, but she's still struggling to make that fit together in her everyday life.

I offer this example because, honestly, the structure we gain from intuitive guidance depends on how we activate it on our journey. When we open ourselves up to the direction of our intuition, it acts as a compass, guiding us toward our true path and purpose. It helps us navigate challenging times and make difficult decisions clearly and confidently. But more than anything, it opens us up to the necessary support required to release the feelings of being stuck along the way.

The Role of the Intuitive Guide

The role of an intuitive guide can be critical on the spiritual journey regarding the structure it provides. It can often feel overwhelming and confusing to face our inner thoughts, feelings, and beliefs during self-discovery. That's where intuitive guidance comes in - as a supportive and understanding companion on this journey.

Through personal storytelling, emotional appeal, descriptive language, and empathy, an intuitive guide helps us dive deeper into ourselves and uncover hidden truths. They offer a safe space to explore and reflect on our experiences, guiding us toward greater understanding and self-awareness.

Intuitive guidance can show up in many different forms and be filtered through many spiritual modalities. When I think of intuitive guidance, I consider the empathic aspect of guidance, the feeling. Many psychics are not empathic, which means they can experience clairvoyance or clear visions absent of feeling the experience they are allowed to view spiritually. Intuitive guidance can occur with or without the vision and can undoubtedly be aided by divination tools such as a pendulum, tarot cards, crystals, or any other object that the guide connects with; however, it requires more soul than the traditional psychic reading.

Here’s another example:

Some people looking to utilize intuitive guidance are seeking more balance and clarity in their lives and perhaps feeling sentiments of detachment. This experience is standard when they are in some aspect of the stages of awakening. I recently spoke to someone triggered by world events and feeling a deep sense of isolation and frustration not being able to access the feeling of community in a new city. Despite having similar astrological placements as the client in my previous example, this person is more grounded in their identity and already has a foundation for her growth because of her strong spiritual base and access to spiritual practice through her cultural traditions and faith. This allows us to focus more on a deeper dive into esoteric knowledge and soul patterns rather than spending all of our time questioning the existence and value of Spirit. The advantage is beginning a higher level of understanding. Still, the connection between the guide and the client is smoother because trust becomes much more accessible, there is less resistance and fear of uncovering more of her truth, and her actions are more potent because she is less fearful.

But since I mentioned that in my role as an intuitive, I heavily interact with the Akashic realm, let me clarify what an Akashic Records reading is. An Akashic Records reading is a session that connects to a specific realm of consciousness to retrieve information related to soul-level growth. In this realm, our language must shift from a distracted place of random questions to a clear focus on the aspects of ourselves where we seek to change. In this realm, we can get the "how-to" on our soul's existence. Consequently, we must connect with this kind of session as a healing place and seek it out with the expectation to receive and grow from the experience. The three guiding principles of this dimension of consciousness are to judge not, resist not and fear not.

What I have learned is that we fear our most profound truths.

While we want to connect with intuitive guides who can sincerely seek us and be the vessel for our most sacred spiritual messages, most people want to control the process. People resist the intensity of the process yet forget to acknowledge their issues' power and influence over their energy.

This avoidance occurs, especially with those who are avoiding a mental health diagnosis. Let me break it down like I did in a recent conversation: A mental health diagnosis is as important as a physical diagnosis. If you were to break your toe, you would be in immense pain and seek treatment immediately. When we have a mental health issue, we are almost always as much as broken as the toe; it just manifests differently. As we exhaust ourselves because of our inability to focus, or as we are overcome with worry, insecurity, and constant approval-seeking due to severe anxiety, it becomes equally as problematic as physical injury.

Yet, as it pertains to mental health, we are deterred by the stigma when we should be encouraged by the outcome of any available treatment.

Another thing I've learned offering intuitive guidance is that people talk too much as a distraction in life.

Regardless of how people come to me, there is a sense of urgency when they arrive that drives the belief that their problems can be solved immediately. Trust me when I say everything cannot be solved in 60 minutes. Intuitive guidance, above all, is a process of learning to connect and understand the voice of Spirit, and it takes time for that relationship to unfold.

This is where intuitive guidance is critical, but the way you approach it is equally as important. By this point, I hope you feel encouraged and not discouraged. We are all on a journey, and intuitive guidance is the key to staying on the path. Intuitive guidance is tailor-made to where you are and what you're experiencing, as well as the things that are your roadblocks in this incarnation that are connected to something in your childhood or even a past life. To better understand what intuitive guidance is to have what you believe is a roadmap that allows you to achieve what the world is defining as spiritual growth. But, thing about intuitive guidance is it's not about what the world defines as spiritual growth. It is what spirit translates to as a remedy in whatever version of stagnancy or crisis present in your life when you begin seeking.

There is no absolute definition or rigid framework for working with spirit. But the whole point is intuitive guidance meets you where you are to take you to where you must go.
